EfN - Edward Maiten Reference

My reference piece for Edward Maiten to be entered in the OCT Escape From Nevara. Audition pieces to follow. Here's hoping I get in!

IMPORTANT
Despite the size of this ref, I still managed to miss out a few details. |D" And these are actually quite important. .__.;

Edward is primarily left handed for painting and swordfighting.
Can also speak fluent French, thanks to Joseph's teaching.
Due to past experiences, he has become quite hateful of women to the point of misogyny.
Despite how he drives those close to him away, his greatest fear is being alone in life. He also has an abhorrence to fire.
On the other hand, he is fearless in battle, and will gladly step up to humans and monsters alike. He has nothing to lose.
He is not homicidal and will only fight to protect himself, or if he is provoked. However, there is one name on his hit-list.

BRIEF BACKSTORY.
To help people out some more~? 8D;

The Maiten Royal family line is known for two things: being the richest Kingdom on the continent (though the most powerful is Serai), and keeping one strict tradition. That is, all Royal offspring are married young. Such was the case for Richard and Mary Maiten, the current King and Queen... but not the case for their son, Edward.

Still unmarried at the age of 14, his parents became increasingly harder on their son, even going so far as to deny him the protection of a Knight (when they turn 13 years of age, Royals can select a Knight of service to protect them). Despite his endless attempts to please them, this never changed. The closest thing Edward came to having a Knight was the friend he found in Sir Joseph Ahern, his mother's protector. Joseph would even be the one to save Edward's life from a vicious attack by a neighbouring Kingdom; to be exact, he rescued him when his studio was set on fire.

When the time finally came, Mary and Richard sent an invitation to meet Serai's Princess Delaria. Edward's last chance.

Whether he was successful or not remains to be seen, but after four years pass, quite a few things have changed:

Mizuki Shiro (Delaria's Knight), Edward's mother, Vladimir Romanenkov (Knight to Rosette, Delaria's mother) and Joseph are all missing. (The castle's looking rather bare, to tell the truth...) But, Edward and his father now reside in Serai Castle, and his attempts to be wed to Delaria continue. However, due to his twisted mental state, his advances are anything but romantic.
