Para's 2015 Summary of Art

I didn't accomplish everything I set out to do this year. I could have done more studies, I didn't finish a new version of Anywhere Out of the World in time (not for lack of trying; I've got 5 different compositions sat on my hard drive), and I didn't manage to finish the Monster Boy project I promised earlier in the year. I was prevented by some serious health issues that persisted from the beginning of October right up until mid-December, so I'm not going to kick myself too hard over it. :U

But what I did do was surpass my expectations of myself. I put a lot of pressure on myself this year to improve, constantly beat myself up for not being good enough. But then I compared this art summary to last year's:



... I feel a lot better. ;w;

I didn't check off everything on my to-do list and I'm not yet working to the standards I hope to achieve (said every artist ever), but I made a hell of a lot of progress this year. I have to remember to reward myself for my hard work sometimes; I've busted my ass on freelance and personal work alike this year, and seeing the difference between this year's art summary and the last was, frankly, the pat on the back I deserved. 

I can't wait to see how my 2016 summary looks. I plan to make 2016's work as great an improvement as 2015 was! owó9
