Here's the deal!

Those who watch my gallery may have noticed that I've been posting pictures of character from my other, older comic project RAID, or Rise Above in Defiance. To those who weren't watching me while I was still working on the comic, allow me to explain.

RAID is a project I have been working on since I was very young. Like, 6 years old young. It was, of course, in a very basic stage back then, but I was never able to let the plot or characters go, and have been changing and developing it ever since then. Now, it has changed by copious amounts, even more so behind the scenes.

It's now... a lot darker than its predecessor. Which means that it's going to be a lot more fun.

I am NOT, however, bringing back the comic in full force just yet. But I would like to put on display some of its changes, and set the mood for how the new plot is going to take place.

I would like to do this in the form of an animatic, and for that, I will need voice talent. Quite a few of you guys, in fact.

I will list the characters' names, brief personality, voice descriptions, and what may be expected of you for the animatic script. I would like for this to be of quite high standard, so if you're not up for screaming, yelling, or extreme emotions, please audition for another character.

A few explanations: the term "Altera" refers to the animalistic looking characters, and Programming refers to characters that have undergone brainwashing. Basically, the bad guys.

All characters have American accents, unless stated otherwise.

Without further ado, here's the list:

Andrew Miklós

Description: 17, human, male. Very quiet, timid, frail, somewhat disturbed. However, not one to be underestimated. He banded together the four "Anarchists", as they are now nicknamed, and aims to bring down the Alteran reign, and discover Managa's (the leader) true intentions and plans. Keeps a lot of secrets that only Alex knows. Suffers from illusions and nightmares, causing him to see black, shadow-like monsters.
Voice: Important: his voice is very hoarse, almost a whisper. Softly spoken and quiet, but raspy and slow. Medium pitch. When relaxed, he speaks with little emotion, but the opposite when in danger.
Expectations: Andy will have the most to say in the animatic, in particular a rather sombre monologue narration. He may also let out a terrified scream which will require a lot of emotion.

Alex Thornton

Description: 18, canine-Altera, male. Programming negative. Confident, cool, very protective, somewhat flirtatious. Short-tempered and physically strong. Suffers from pleasure/pain confusion, or masochism; he has little to fear in battle, as he cannot dislike the pain. Has also tested positive for "Feral State".
Voice: Speaks well, with confidence; often uses sarcastic and charming tones. Somewhat low pitch. Usually quite emotional, especially when angry.
Expectations: Yelling may be needed of him in the animatic, but no screaming. There may also be grunts of pain, and even growling.

Considering:

Celcia Finetta (AKA the one everyone wants to voice for)

Description: 16, female, feline-Altera. Programming negative. She has a very serious personality, and is rarely the type to joke around. Comes from a well-off background, and speaks very well. Sometimes uses words too big for Cody to understand. She suffers from paranoia, and dislikes anyone talking about her behind her back. She cannot set foot in public without having first made sure she looks presentable. Her habit of listening in on people's conversations to make sure they are not talking about her has given her a heightened sense of hearing. When angry, she is probably the most vicious out of the main four.
Voice: Well-spoken, quite high pitched and confident, but it isn't a harsh tone. Only when snapping will it begin to become sharp. When angered, however, she will scream and shout.
Expectations: Emotional, paranoid speech. Possibly some furious yells.

ROLE GIVEN TO:

Cody Marr

Description: 15, male, winged-Altera (blue jay). Programming negative. Brooklyn accent. Rather outspoken and common, potty-mouthed and brash. He comes from a very poor background, living with his father and 7 siblings. A skilled hacker, weapon of choice is a pair of twin gun, but is usually unwilling to fight. Suffers from anxiety and dependency, particularly for Celcia. His usual attitude is "We're all going to die, and it's everyone else's fault but mine."
Voice: Thick Brooklyn accent, loud, somewhat high pitch. His voice is in the process of breaking, so it will crack on occasion. He has a common way of speaking and will sometimes drop his T's. For reference, he speaks somewhat like the Scout from Team Fortress 2.
Expectations: All of the above, and perhaps some panicked speech and yelling.

ROLE GIVEN TO:

Lt. Guinez
Pictures: Crappy refs are crappy aaaa [link] [link]
Description: 19, female, fox-Altera. Programming Positive. Lieutenant Rank, the Colonel's right-hand woman. Comes across as cold and uncaring; if she is not in need of you, she will not give you the time of day. Out of the three Lieutenants, she is best in battle, and has the best skill and knowledge of a wide range of weapons. Her preferred weapons are a sword/machete blade for close combat, a leather whip for medium range, and an old Glock 17 pistol for long range. She always keeps the gun on her person. She leads the army of guards protecting the Hollow. She suffers from an alcohol addiction, and a tendency to seek comfort in casual sex. She does not use her sexuality in battle, however, and does have class and humility. Her Programming is weakening at an alarming rate, for a reason that cannot currently be defined; she wears a device on her right hand that constantly keeps her Programming in repairs.
Voice: Low pitched, slow, somewhat emotionless. Even when flirting, she does not exert a great amount of emotion.
Expectations: Able to give loud, confident orders. Flirtation. Sarcasm and irritation.

Raxy Mitura(The favourite)

Description: 14, male, lynx-Altera. Programming positive and at full strength. Lieutenant rank, 2nd Lieutenant. Completely loyal to the Alteran reign, Raxy has gone out of his way to achieve his rank, using his intelligence, cunning and great skill at stratagems. He can be quite twisted and narcissistic, and hates humans above all other things. He aspires to meet Andrew one day, his reasons kept secret. During his change from human to Altera, he requested that his mutation have 5% more Daivel genes than recommended, resulting in a few unexpected mutations, such as his sharp teeth. He leads the army of Failures and other such biological experiments. He suffers from megalomania, and fully supports the Alteran takeover. His goal for conquest borders on obsession, and his extreme thoughts and opinions border on insanity.
Voice: If I could pick a professional voice actor for Raxy, it would be Richard Steven Horvitz, famous for VAing Raz from Psychonauts and Invader Zim (though Raxy's voice would far better suit the prior example). His voice is high pitched, particularly raspy and sharp even in normal speech, and is usually laced with a mocking, better-than-thou tone. He rarely yells, only when pushed to extremes will he lash out.
Expectations: Evil cackling.

Rave

Description: 19, male, winged-Altera (raven). Programming positive, but tends to waver and act strangely. Lieutenant rank, 3rd Lieutenant. Rave is a breath of fresh air compared to the other leaders of the Hollow; usually chipper and fun-loving, he is often seen to be smiling and is a genuinely nice person all round. However, in order to keep this happiness, he oftentimes tries to ignore the more serious issues going on around him, resulting in punishment. He received his rank almost out of force; winged-Alteras are usually quite difficult to make due to the intricacy of wing creation, and Rave was the best result. Skilled at flying, he leads the Airbourne Army, though he takes no pleasure from fighting. His reason for staying within the Hollow is in fact unknown, but he insists on keeping his position and performs to expectations. He will go to extremes to keep his rank, including the experimentation he is subject to most days. The reason for him being a test subject is due to his affliction of MPD, or Multiple Personality Disorder. A man who calls himself "Rasu" is Rave's other side, and a stark contrast to his true self: violent, blood-thirsty, and remorseless, to the point where Rave and Rasu cannot be compared.
Voice: If I could choose a professional voice actor for Rave, it would be Johnny Yong Bosch (current English VA for Bleach's Ichigo, and Trigun's Vash the Stampede). Medium pitched, happy, and playful. When circumstances become serious, he tries to keep smiling, resulting in a confused, wavering tone. He is emotional at all times, particularly when upset. For Rasu, his voice lowers in pitch, and becomes very raspy and sharp, full of malice and intent to kill.
Expectations: An ability to get a wide range of emotions. Must be able to show both happiness and insanity. Evil laughter, shouting.

Devahn: 19, human, male. Aloof, twisted, curious and tormented. Becomes attached to Cody, much to his chagrin.
Mei: 19, female, panda-Altera, Chinese. Programming positive. A waitress, kind, gentle, graceful, very weak-willed and easily frightened. Considering: , ,
Sarone: 28, male, crocodile-Altera. Programming positive. The Colonel, and leader of the Lieutenants. The first Altera to ever be created, and Managa's right-hand man.
